Welcome to The Kentish Hare
The Kentish Hare is situated in the picturesque Kent village of Bidborough. Opened in May 2024 by the Tanner Brothers, Chris and James our award-winning restaurant is featured in all the major food guides including the Estrella Damm Top 50 gastro Pubs UK and was voted best newcomer of the year in 2016. Our aim is to offer the very best local food produced by local suppliers, complemented by a specially selected range of superb beers, wines and spirits served in delightful stylish surroundings with attentive service.
Lunch and Dinner
The Kentish Hare opens from 11am for coffee and drinks. We offer a set menu for lunch served from 12-2:30pm Wednesday to Saturday and 12-3:30pm on Sundays. Walk-ins are very welcome, but reservations are advised during busy periods. The bar menu is also available in all dining areas.
Our dinner menu changes daily and is available from 5:45pm-9:30pm Wednesday to Saturdays. Walk-ins are very welcome, but again reservations are advised during busy periods. The bar menu is also available in all dining areas.
Care is taken both in sourcing and cooking, and dishes are boldly flavoured and well-presented. We also offer a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan meals and cater for most dietary requirements.
